The Experience
An accessible and authentic winery visit at the classic Bodega Los Toneles, one of Mendoza's most traditional family-owned estates, via the Bus Vitivinícola. Los Toneles offers a genuinely unpretentious counterpoint to some of the region's more polished, design-forward wineries — a working family estate where the focus stays on the wine itself rather than an elaborate visitor experience. A no-frills, genuinely Argentine wine experience, well suited to budget-conscious travellers or anyone curious about wine country who doesn't need the full premium tasting-room production to enjoy a good glass of Malbec in its place of origin.

Mendoza City Tour
Explore the elegant tree-lined boulevards and leafy plazas of Mendoza city, South America's wine capital. Visit San Martín Park, designed by the same landscape architect behind some of Buenos Aires's grandest green spaces, the historic ruins of the old city destroyed by the catastrophic 1861 earthquake, and the striking municipal buildings rebuilt afterward in a deliberately earthquake-resistant style that gives the city its distinctive low-rise, wide-avenue character. Runs Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, arranged privately with a guide who can explain how the earthquake fundamentally reshaped Mendoza's urban design in ways still visible today. A good first half-day before heading out into the surrounding wine country, giving context to the city that anchors one of the world's great wine regions.

Bodegas & Olive Groves — Classic Wine Tour
Visit traditional Mendoza wineries and artisan olive oil producers on this classic guided excursion. Taste Malbec and Torrontés in the cellars of historic bodegas, many family-run for generations, and sample premium Argentine olive oil in the vineyards — a pairing that makes genuine sense given how much of the same Mediterranean-adjacent climate and soil that produces exceptional Malbec also suits olive cultivation. Runs Monday to Saturday. A solid introduction to the classic Mendoza wine-country experience, well suited to first-time visitors who want a representative overview of the region's wine and food traditions before deciding which specific sub-regions or producers to explore in more depth.

Alta Montaña — Andean High Mountain Road
Drive one of the most spectacular mountain roads in the Americas: the Alta Montaña route following the Mendoza River gorge to the Chilean border at 3,200m. The route passes the Puente del Inca, a striking natural stone arch coloured by mineral deposits from the thermal springs beneath it, and Aconcagua Provincial Park, home to the Americas' highest peak at 6,962m — visible, conditions permitting, from a roadside viewpoint without requiring any climbing at all. The landscape shifts dramatically along the way, from Mendoza's green wine country to a stark, high-altitude Andean terrain that feels like an entirely different country. A strong full-day option for travellers who want to see genuine high-Andean scenery without the physical demands of Aconcagua's actual climbing routes, and a good complement to the wine-focused days most Mendoza itineraries otherwise consist of.
