The Journey

Two extraordinary countries, one seamless private journey. This itinerary crosses the continent from Chile's Pacific coast to Argentina's Atlantic edge — through colonial cities, volcanic lake landscapes, Andean crossings, Patagonian glaciers, and the Beagle Channel at the end of the world. The Cruce Andino — a legendary bus and boat crossing through the Andean lake chain that has been made by adventurous travelers since the early twentieth century — connects the two countries through landscapes of extraordinary beauty. In Bariloche, private guided trekking in Nahuel Huapi National Park, the Puerto Blest lake crossing, and in winter, private ski instruction at Cerro Catedral. At El Calafate, glacier trekking across multiple levels of intensity. In Ushuaia, Beagle Channel navigation, the Isla Martillo penguin excursion, and Tierra del Fuego National Park trekking. Buenos Aires closes the journey with city tours, tango dinner shows, and the best of Argentine gastronomy.

Your Journey, Day by Day

Days 1–3 · 3 nights

Santiago, Chile

The journey begins in Chile's capital — a sophisticated city at the foot of the Andes with a thriving food scene, world-class contemporary art, and the vineyards of the Casablanca and Maipo valleys within an hour's drive. Three nights for the city, a private wine excursion, and preparation for the journey south.

Days 4–5 · 2 nights

Puerto Varas, Chile

Fly south to Puerto Montt and transfer to Puerto Varas — a small city on the shores of Lago Llanquihue with the Osorno volcano reflected perfectly in the water. Two nights based here before the great crossing begins. Germanic architecture, lake seafood, and the sense of standing at the edge of something wild.

Bariloche, Argentina

You arrive in Bariloche by late afternoon after the crossing. Four nights in the Andean lake district — Argentina's most beautiful alpine landscape.
