Tierra del Fuego National Park with Trekking & Canoes
An active day in Tierra del Fuego combining guided trekking through the sub-Antarctic forest with canoeing on the Beagle Channel — one of the most immersive ways to experience this end-of-the-world landscape. Seeing the same coastline from both the forest trail and from the water changes how the landscape reads — the trek shows the dense Nothofagus forest and peat bog terrain up close, while the canoe leg reveals the channel's scale and the mountains rising directly from the water. Minimum age 5 years. A strong choice for active families who want more physical engagement with Tierra del Fuego than the standard park visit, and a good full-day alternative for travellers who've already done a more conventional Ushuaia excursion.

End of the World Train (One Way)
Board the historic Tren del Fin del Mundo — the world's southernmost railway — for a scenic one-way journey through the sub-Antarctic forests of Tierra del Fuego. The train follows the route once used by convict labourers from Ushuaia's prison to haul timber from the forest, and knowing that history adds real weight to what would otherwise be simply a scenic narrow-gauge ride — this is a working piece of the same penal-colony history the city's prison museum documents. Must be combined with the National Park excursion, since the train's route runs into the park itself. A worthwhile add-on for railway enthusiasts and families, and a genuinely different, more relaxed way to enter the park than driving or trekking in.
